START TIME 
*Race packets will be handed out after you complete the required Gear Check - Go to the Group Screened Facility*
** We recommend racers arrive at 8:00am to get a good parking spot (PLEASE DON'T PARK ON THE GRASS!) warm up, stretch, set up bikes, sign waiver, get gear checked, plot course, etc **
*** Park entry fee of $4 is included in race fee for all racers and volunteers only! All other vehicle occupants will have to pay the entry fee! Please be prepared for this and be courteous to Park staff! ***

Expected Time to Complete Course
* Experts/Elite Class should be able to finish the course in 3-4 hours
* Beginners/Intermediates should anticipate to finish in 4-6 hours

ENTRY FEES
Teams of 2 = $150 (Does not include $8 USARA fee)

NON-SUPPORTED RACE
This race uses only one main transition area which will have staff volunteers at all times; therefore support crews are not required

BOATING NOTES
*Teams must provide their own kayaks and pfd's 
*The only restriction for the boats is that they must be a non-motorized human-powered canoe or kayak
*Teams can use single or tandem kayaks or canoes

* BOAT RENTALS 
We are reserving Canoes at Huntsville State Park so reserve one now when you sign up on active.com

After they are gone we recommend Southwest Paddlesports

REFUNDS
* Refund Policy: You are entitled to a refund, minus the cancellation fee until 2 weeks prior to the start of the race.  Within 2 weeks no refund! Sorry!
* Cancellation fee of $10 per person.
* Solem Racing is not responsibility for refunds for cancellations in the event of natural or national emergencies. Natural emergencies may include, but are not limited to severe weather including heavy rain, snow, tornados, hurricanes, river flooding, heat spells and cold spells. National or international emergencies may include, but are not limited to military conflicts, terrorist attacks, security threats, war, and heightened security alerts.

VOLUNTEERS
Volunteers are needed to help man Check Points and to help as additional support crew. Contact Race Director. Get a discount off the next Solem Racing event by volunteering.
